Kol HaNeshamah nursery school is a privately run community venture with a commitment to the values of the Reform Movement.
We believe that inclusive pluralistic Jewish education should start at a very young age.
Our early childhood education program provides children aged 1 to 4 a comprehensive progressive Jewish environment based on principles of equality, inclusivity, social justice and tikkun olam.
The program teaches the children progressive Jewish lifestyle as an integral part of daily life in the nursery school, encouraging spiritual and moral development in early childhood. We believe that those who do not adopt stereotypes and racist views at this age will be more tolerant and open as adults.
The program in the kindergarten revolves around the Hebrew calendar and expresses Judaism in prayers and blessings, rituals, commandments and values.
The children see female rabbinic figures, experience Rosh Hodesh and Jewish holidays celebrations.
The nursery school aspires to impart Jewish values to the children in the spirit of the Movement for Progressive Judaism, with an open, egalitarian and pluralistic educational approach that includes encounters with the various aspects of Judaism and Jewish rituals, striving to develop creativity, independence, responsibility and consideration for others.
