Kehilat Kol Haneshama is a membership based organization, comprised of both individuals and families who have expressed their desire to be part of the community. Membership is renewed each year around Rosh HaShana.

Dear Kol HaNeshama Members,
It's that time of year again for renewing your kehila membership for 2019-2020 (תש"פ).
Over the course of the last year, we have seen an inspiring number of members stepping up and getting involved, in order to ensure the future of Kol HaNeshama.  Many feel that this has been one of the most significant years in the kehila’s history, and that the transition period has given us all the chance to re-connect and reaffirm the role the community plays in our lives.
The last year has also seen an exponential growth in the number of kehila activities – from lectures to films, from parties to study frameworks, Shabbatot with guest rabbis, as well as celebrating the holidays together. All this whilst maintaining our exceptional frameworks for support and help with both happy and sad occasions in our lives.
Now we are excited and delighted to welcome Rabbi Oded Mazor as the new rabbi of our community, beginning in mid-September.  Rabbi Oded and his family will be moving to Jerusalem in August and we look forward to working with them to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.  It will be a particular pleasure to have Rabbi Oded with us as part of the team who will lead services over the Chagim.
None of this is possible without you, our members.  The budget of the kehila is about 1.8 million NIS per year, such that the actual annual cost per family unit works out at around 9,000 NIS per family unit. We have put considerable efforts in the last year in to increasing our income from a number of channels (Shalom Aleichem dinners, renting out our facilities, etc etc), particularly given the increasing difficulty in relying on donations from abroad.  However, part of this effort must be borne by each and every one of us.  We ask, therefore, that you make every effort to pay the membership dues as listed below.  Of course, we want everyone to join the community, and nobody will be turned away on the basis of financial constraints, but we are asking that you make every effort to meet our standard membership rates.   The rates have been set at around the rate of the cost of a monthly chug or gym membership.  We hope you feel that this is a rate which reflects the value we receive from our community membership.
Membership is free of charge for young adults between the age of 18 and 25. Please contact the office to register.

Guidelines for Kol Nidrei Seating:
To ensure that as many members as possible have the seats they want, the following guides have been set:

  • After renewing membership, each family can reserve seats for their nuclear family members (parents and children under 25).

  • Seats can also be reserved by members for guests. This is limited to four additional seats. We request a donation of NIS 180 per seat.

  • Online reservation is limited to 5 seats per household. If you wish to reserve more seats, please contact the office.
